Very pleased. Called them yesterday based on feedback I saw here, and service was performed this morning. They were well within scheduled window and called ahead. Thought rate was fair for the work he performed. Fixed leaky kitchen sink - technically a filtration system he removed, and piped around.

This company was incredibly overpriced. We called for several quotes from local plumbers for a relatively simple job and Bewley Plumbing's estimate came in FOUR TIMES higher than everyone else. Buyer Beware!! They come well recommended, answer the phone, and are quick to fit you in, but you will probably end up paying for it in the end. Gave an estimate for connecting existing gas line to new furnace

My dissatisfaction stems from the leak in the bathroom. It is still there. When they finished repairing the leak out front, the meter still turned, and the leak is still audible. If they had proceeded to look for the bathroom leak right away, I would have been satisfied. Instead, they recommended calling another plumber because they could not schedule another service call for a month. They're busy, I get it. Things crop up. This just didn't make a good impression, and there are too many choices available to keep using a ser... read more

Business response:

Just because there is an audible sound in the bathroom doesn't mean there is a slab leak. Any leak (inside or outside home), can make a noise of water movement. During diagnosis, found a valve box in front flowerbed buried 1ft below ground level. This also had a valve to shut water off to home. Found a leak in this area. Repaired leak with a new shut off valve (old one did not work), and installed new valve boxes installed at ground level so anyone can find shut off valve. After turning valve off, were able to determine ther... read more

They broke my pipe inside my kitchen the first time and had to come back to repeat it, then barely got the line cleared. When I tried the sink that evening, water spilled all over the kitchen floor. We were able to patch it. They came out the next day claiming it wasn't their fault and I had to pay them again, another $175 but this time, as opposed to the first time, they DID accept your coupon for a 10% discount. After they left, with my check, mind you, I called to complain that they just ripped me off. They called back a... read more

Business response:

The first service call was dispatched on November 21, 2012 for a kitchen sink line that was stopped up. Afer inspection of the issue and work and materials required to repair: 1. In order to clear a drain line properly it needs to have a proper cleanout which this homeowner did not have 2. The first crew (his master license#M11540) consulted with the homeowner and the homeowner choose not to install a proper cleanout due to cost of the repair. 3. The first crew proceeded to clean the line out with a mini rooter machine from ... read more

They had to install a pressure reducing valve for the system. They installed the pressure reducing valve before the sprinkler controls. I have no water pressure in my sprinklers because they installed this incorrectly. They installed a whole house water filtration system.

Business response:

I was very disappointed with all the “F” in a recent entry. Bewley Plumbing installed a specialized whole house filtration system over 10 months ago which required a pressure reducing valve to protect our customer from things in the public water system that affected her many allergies. Under the direction of the company that sold her the system, we were required to install a pressure reducing valve to ensure the functionality of the filter. This job was submitted for inspection and passed by the City of Plano Building inspec... read more

Would you ever have work done by someone who tells you they don't have time for you.....I wouldn't. Called and spoke to guy on phone. I asked him if he would be willing to come out to the house and tell me if they would be able to install a whirlpool tub. He told me on the phone "I don'tthink we would be able to come out, we are so swamped with work right now." You never tell a prospective customer "we don't have time for you".

The toilet sounded like there was a problem while flushing. Sure enough, parts in the tank had to be replaced. I believe the plumber's name was Kevin. He replaced the part, also replaced the water cut-off which was not working properly, tested the flapper and all the working parts. The toilet in my master bathroom was not flushing properly.

Bewley really made an effort to cause the least amount of disruption to the wall as possible. However, they did have to come back a few days later to fix a mistake. Overall, I was happy with the outcome of their work. I called Bewley because one of the pipes in my kitchen wall was leaking.

Business response:

It is fortunate that the member rated the overall experience an "A" but the pricing category rated low. The member was provided pricing and signed the estimate prior to any work performed. In addition the total price was discounted 5% as part of Bewley Plumbing's senior discount program.

I called Bewley Plumbing at 8:15 am and spoke with Warren. He said they could have someone at my home in approximately 2 hours. Warren and Kevin called prior toarrivingand showed up at 10:00 am. Theydiagnosedthe problem and then snaked the main drain from a drain plug on the exterior of the house. Theyencountereda tough clog about 45 feet into the drain but were able to remove it. Both Warren and Kevin were were extremely professional andcourteous. I will not hesitate to use them in the future. In addition, they had a 10% of... read more
