They arrived on time, performed the services in good order. They did the work but I will not use them again because the prices, which I should have checked, are outrageous--$153 to install a new flushing system and $235 to repair an outside faucet. Had some various outside plumbing repairs and one inside (commode).
It did not go as I expected. Upon arrival, the plumbers checked the water heater and said it was more than 8-years old, so they would not flush it and I would have to take it up with Angie's List to get my money back. They were however very courteous and friendly. They alsogave me an estimate for replacing the water heater (if needed) and repair/replacement cost for other fixtures. Greg was tired from his previous job. He did not ask me before sitting on my cooler with wheels and Greg is not a small guy. I expected a Water Heater Flush as that is the main reason I purchased the Big Deal. He told me he would do a power flush, with out telling me what that was. Power flush sounds better than just a flush, so I agreed. Greg's "power flush" was simply attaching a hose to the water heater and letting the water run out a while. New glue joint to the pan solved the problem. The team showed up on schedule Wednesday morning , talked about possible causes, cut a hole in the ceiling to confirm this and then rescheduled another trip to actually do the work. He quoted $700+ to make the repair which did not include repairs to the ceiling. The team came back the following Monday spent an hour cutting a bigger hole, gluing the joint, ran some water to test the joint and left with my check for $200. Replaced the insides of a toliet.
New toilet installation went fine, however, when it was completed I was handed a bill that was $115 (58%) higher than I was quoted on the phone. The reason was the need for a $125 flange for raised wood floors. I was told that the flange was needed shortly after the plumbers arrived, but was not told of the required upcharge until the work was completed, and would have cancelled the job if I had been aware of it. Also seems excessive for a part that costs less than $30. Installed new toilet
